Hi, I’m Jason
I’m the founder of Vetted Local, but before any of that, I was just a bloke trying to build a better future for my family.
When I was 25 years old, I had two young sons and a big decision to make. I wanted a career that would give my family security, freedom and opportunities that I never had growing up.
So I retrained as a Gas Engineer.
Like many tradespeople starting out, I wasn’t born into the trade. I wasn’t handed a business. I had to learn everything from scratch.
The early years were tough.
I worked long hours, took every job I could get, worried about where the next customer would come from and made plenty of mistakes along the way.
What many people don’t know is that before becoming a Gas Engineer, I had built a successful marketing business. So while I was learning the trade, I was also using my marketing experience to grow my plumbing and heating company.
Over the next 20 years, I built a successful business, employed great people and created a life for my family that started as nothing more than a dream.
But something always frustrated me.
I watched good, honest tradespeople being told they had to rely on lead generation websites, expensive directories and marketing agencies that promised the world and delivered very little.
Every year the costs went up.
Every year the competition increased.
And every year more tradespeople became dependent on companies that owned their leads, controlled their reviews and dictated their future.
I’ve been there myself.

But because I’m a tradesman who understands exactly what it’s like to build a business from the ground up.
